Like my new Look?

Learning and growing this business has been an adventure.

I couldn't be happier than I am doing anything else.

I am definitely finding myself, my talents and things I need to work on.

I will be the first to say I haven't been great at keeping my social life where it was. But I miss you all and that is my current goal.

I am learning to find the balance of Family, Friends and Designing.

As you can see I have finally upgraded my Design to something that really represents who I am. I couldn't be happier, it has really taken me quite awhile to find "me" again. How Children can and DO change things!

Through the last several months I have met some great people. Clients have turned into great friends, I never expected that.

I would like to introduce you to Crystal from Domestic, But Not Martha isn't she a Hot Mama!

She is an amazing Mom, Daughter of Christ and friend.

You may know of Crystal from the Fundraiser that she pulled together with several dozen people without my knowledge to help Mason.

Can I say you people are amazing!

Anyways, Crystal's Blog has been growing leaps and bounds since she started it in November of last year.

I have promised her that when she hit 100 followers through Google Friend Connect that I would give her one of her Followers a Brand NEW Blog Design!

And guess what she just happened to hit 100 followers at the same time of my own Blog Makeover.

So we thought what better idea could we have then giveaway TWO Blog Designs away!!!

A Reflection.

At the beginning of most News Years I make resolutions, as do most of you.

My resolutions seem to never really be fulfilled in the way I first "dreamed" them.

So this year I am taking on a new look at life.

In the past year I have really learned that our Family needs to take life day by day.

The future is always so unknown.

I have learned and grown as a Woman, Mother, and Wife in the past year more than I could have expected.

My whole being has been put to the test several times in the past several years.

I found that by the end of many years I have been disappointed with what I have been not been able to accomplish.

My goals were not all met.

As I sit here reflecting on the past year of my life I see that I did accomplish many things.

I did things I never even had in my sights.

This Design blog was one of them.

Last year at this time I had just started a Blog.

It is my journal, my Family story and my emotions poured out all over the screen.

Blogging has changed my life.

I never really knew just how much it would change my life or my perspective of the people in this world.

There are so many good people, the support that I as a Woman, a Mother and a Wife have received is breathtaking.

I have found myself changing constantly this past year and I know that many more changes are to come.

I am ready for a new Season.

I want to thank those special people who started out clients and became life long friends.

I would also like to thank those that have been spreading my business around.

The outpouring of love from you all makes this so much more than a small business.

It makes us a community.

So my goals this year?

I have none.

I plan to live day by day, hour by hour.

We'll just have to see where this years takes us, join me won't you?

One of the homework assignments was to Design & set up your own Design site.

I have been a Stay at Home Mom since I had my second Son, Mason. Mason was born with Special Needs, his needs are known, but why he is Special is still a Riddle. Mason's is a full time job & is a very expensive child, also having two other boys can make it pretty hard to work outside of the home.

I discovered Blogging through "Julia & Julia".

I have been Blogging ever since & learning how to share my life with others.

I quickly became very interested in Blog Design & saw it as an opportunity to be creative while making some much needed funds.

How to Center your Sidebar Widgets

Don't like how your your widgets are all over the place in your sidebar like this?

Let me help you make your sidebar Beautiful!

It's really easy and can make such a difference in the look of your blog.

Step 1. Go to your Blog's layout page.

Step 2. Click on "Edit" in your gadget that you would like to center.

Step 3. Add <center> at the very beginning and </center> to the very end of the code.

Make a Text Grab Box for your Button

How to make a Button Text Grab Box

Step 1. Create you Blog's button, average blog button size is 150px by 150px.

Step 2. Upload it to Photobucket.

Step 3. Copy its “HTML code”

It will look something like this:

Step 4. Now we need to edit your code to link back to your blog!

This is what my Code looks like when I have edited it:

Step 5. Lets make the grab box! Take the code we just made and add <textarea>at the beginning and </textarea> at the very end. This is how mine looks:

Step 5. Add your button's image above the text box. It is pretty easy! From the code you just made Grab the Blue & Pink Colors and stick it just over top of the Box code like this:

Changing or Removing your Navigation Bar

Changing your Navigation Bar color

To change the color:
Step 1. Go to your blog's layout page.
Step 2. Find the bright blue element labelled "Navbar" that sits above your header element.

Step 3. Click on edit and change the color to make your Design Hot!

Step 4. Save.

Removing your Navigation Bar

To remove the Navigation bar completely:

Step 1. Go into your Dashboard, go into Design.

Step 2. Click on Edit HTML Look at the top of your code and find this:

Step 3. Then attach this code "#navbar-iframe { display: none !important;}" here like this.

Step 4. Save.
